Scope:

The 7th international conference on Mobile Data Management (MDM 2006) will be held in Nara, Japan on May 9-12, 2006. The objective of MDM 2006 is to bring together researchers, developers, and practitioners in the area of wireless and mobile data management and access technology so that they can share their findings to promote the pervasive computing technology many steps further.


In addition to paper presentations, demos, etc., MDM 2006 will also exploit the strength of the state of the art panels to achieve its objective. MDM2006, therefore, invites panel proposals on conference themes.

Panel Proposal Format:

    • LENGTH: Must be 1 page single spacing, including all figures.
    • CONTENTS: The proposal should provide a suitable title, a short description of the topic and theme, a summary of its novel characteristics, a summary of its scope, a list of panelists and panel chair.

    • SELECTION CRITERIA: The selection criteria used for panel proposals include novelty, the technical quality, its relevance to the conference theme and benefits to participants.

Submission:

Panel proposals need to be submitted electronically to mdm-PANEL@ml.nict.go.jp before the submission deadline. For accepted panel, MDM2006 requires that at least one person must register. All accepted panels will be included in the conference proceedings.

Important Dates:
      • Proposal must be submitted by: January 30, 2006.
      • Acceptance or Rejection Notification by: February 15, 2006.
      • Camera-ready must be submitted by: February 30, 2006
