CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS:
 

 

MDM 2006 workshops provide an opportunity to discuss and explore emerging areas of mobile data management with a group of students, researchers, and practitioners.Workshops may focus on any aspect of mobile computing and database, established concerns or new ideas. The goal of the workshop is to share understandings and experiences, to foster research communities, to learn from each other, and to envision future directions. Workshops will be held on either Monday, May 8 or Friday, May 12.

Workshop proposals should be no longer than 4 pages in the IEEE conferencepublications format, and should include a summary of no more than 200 words describing the theme(s) of the workshop, a longer description of the workshop activities and goals, the background of the organizer(s), the maximum number of participants, and the means of soliciting participation. MDM 2006 organizing committee will decide acceptance of workshop proposals.

Accepted workshop papers will not be incorporated into the main MDM 2006 Conference Proceedings. However, they will be published in the Conference Supplement that will be circulated to attendees at the conference. In addition, they are planned to be published as IEEE digital libraries after the conference.

MDM 2006 workshop proposals require electronic submission. Please email your proposal, as a PDF attachment, directly to the Workshop Chair, Yoshito Tobe (mdm2006-workshop@unl.im.dendai.ac.jp).
